Songs

[edit]
    • We may never know, because since the rights to most of the Beatles' back catalogue are currently controlled by Michael Jackson it's highly unlikely that any Rowlf performance of the song will turn up on a future DVD - it's well known that the current DVDs have many omissions because of song licensing problems. Retirement, and similarity to other puppets...

[edit]

Isn't it somewhat odd to say that Rowlf was retired similar to Scooter, when the Scooter was retired two years later?

If anything, Scooters retirement was similar to Rowlf and not vice versa?

Fair use rationale for Image:Rowlf.jpg

[edit]

Image:Rowlf.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

First appearance time frame

[edit]

There appears to be conflicting information with regards to this character's first appearance on The Jimmy Dean Show. In one passage the article states that Rowlf the Dog first appeared in the series on a program that was aired on 24 January 1964. Later on in the article it seems to state that the character first appeared on the show in 1963. Monoblocks (talk) 07:32, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Red Barn commercials

[edit]

I remember one of Rowlf's earliest TV appearances was in a commercial for Red Barn (restaurant). Any chance we can find a reliable source for this? JustinTime55 (talk) 21:32, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have conducted a extensive search, and cannot find anything linking Red Barn with Rowlf. There is no mention in the Muppets Wiki, or anywhere else. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.173.240.231 (talk) 09:38, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Marty Robbins Show

[edit]

Rowlf appeared on The Marty Robbins Show. But there is nothing about that in the article. Itinerantlife (talk) 00:01, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
